Fluidity (2007) Sachiko Kodama

This is a rough sketch of an experimental short movie; investigating the hidden shapes inside the moving Morpho Tower piece. Due to the popularity of the still images of this piece, which only expressed a static form within a minute moment, I also wanted to show the dynamic morphology created by the fluid’s movements in my sculpture. By using a high-speed camera to catch the violent motions inside the moving liquid, I was able to express dynamic property of the fluid, itself.
