Equilibrium Point (2004) Sachiko Kodama, Minako Takeno
<Equilibrium Point>is an interactive artpiece using the sophisticated techniques of <Protrude, Flow>.
A brass plate is hung with four wires. Inside the plate, magnetic fluid moves slowly, and the pointed end of its shape moves toward an equilibrium point of magnetism, gravity, and environmental sound. When it reaches the equilibrium point, the fluid moves dynamically. This work utilizes silence, opposed to dynamic chaotic movements.(Public Collection)
